Guided Meditation

Many of my morning meditations lately have been focused on loving-kindness or gratitude, or some other specific target. I’ve done very little straight mindfulness meditation lately. But mindfulness has already proven a very useful skill in my life. Since starting my (most recent) meditation practice I’ve become much more capable of noticing my negative reactions and thoughts, and seeing them from the outside, in a way that lets me avoid being controlled by them.

So for today’s meditation I went looking for something that seemed just about mindfulness, and chose this one from Great Meditation. I’ve liked many of their meditations, and this one was no exception; I came out of it feeling wonderfully centered.

Happy Friday!
