Three Good Things

I spent some time this morning talking about happiness exercises with my seven-year-old, who I think is feeling more in tune with me than usual. While I’ve been ill, I’ve spent significant time playing a computer game with him, and he’s been very excited by that development. We ended up actually doing the Three Good Things for him, which felt awesome.

My three good things for today:

  • I got nine hours of sleep and woke up without a head full of sinus pain. The kids also got good sleep and are acting more cheerful. I think we’re on the mend!
  • I cleared out some old clothes and things, which was very satisfying.
  • I sat outside reading in the sunshine for nearly half an hour today, while my two-year-old played with the neighbor’s dog.

Happy Wednesday!
